We received our DVD tonight, entitled “Pursuit of Equality”. It is a documentary of the 2004 same-sex marriages performed in San Francisco, and the following legal battles. My husband and I were a part of that historic event. I recommend that everyone who reads this posting, whether “friend” or not, view this DVD.

The question that has to be answered is this: Does my “marriage” to my same-sex spouse directly affect any, ANY, opposite-sex marriage? If so please contact me directly. I have some questions for you in regards to the genuine “sanctity” of your marriage…

I dare, DARE, anyone who reads this to tell me that a heterosexual marriage is any more valid mine. In order to prove superiority, one has to prove that MY relationship has harmed the opposer. Please, explain how my relationship with my husband has damaged the “traditional” marriage. I've got acres of research on “traditional marriage” in this country and in the bible. Anyone who cares to actually read the book that they'd wave in my face would be shocked, and appalled.

In other news, i'll be updating this journal this weekend as I've upgraded to a paid account.  FUN. 

First week of finals - for Interpreter Processing class.  Monday is written, Wednesday is sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign.  Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Next week, we have finals for finger-spelling, Deaf Culture, and ASL, Tuesday - Thursday.  I'll be comatose by the time this is over…So, if I'm not as available as usual on the chats and phone for a while,  you know why.
